Still Screaming After All These Years
screaming
screams unheard
louder louder
who listens?
for years
so small
trapped
so loud
so still
who listened?
if they did I never knew
I stayed
what choice?
no escape
no means
tied down
body flat
head strapped
bones mashed
eyes lost
mind vanished
gone away
now
hard bones
muscles good
now and then
I scream again
quietly, now
who hears?
who listens?
