IT MY BODY & I WOMAN with DISABILITIES
I, the woman with disabilities, and it, my body
Together have reached an understanding;
As to what our common rapport must embody
After many adventures and shared learning
We came upon a political accord,
When confronting dispute, new or old
Feminist ethics we'll uphold
It the body, with all its deviating modes
Has a variation of twists, numbs and spasms
In addition to its incoherent sound codes
Yet, it demands acceptance without sarcasm.
With my womanly needs it promises to comply.
Then again, all choices I will make.
In personal and political as it apply,
Blending many individual styles for my sake
As per my feeling of love and company
It the body and I the woman have struggled
Now, we're in political harmony
By the end of conflict we had it untangled
The insight we concluded was to be
That our common rapport will embody
That we are OK with what you see
and it with me and I with my body.
