JODIE AND MARY RULING People First believe that both Mary and Jodie must both have the right to life and be supported to have a good life. "We think it is appalling that the court and doctors want to consider allowing Mary to die because she is perceived as being the weaker twin of the two. Mary being the one who is most likely to be disabled and labelled as having learning difficulties. We believe everyone who has been born has the right to life regardless what other people perceive they may or may not be able to do. We also believe the comparison between what Mary can do against non disabled babies is WRONG and should never be used when deciding on who should live, which this court case is all about. We think it is WRONG that there is no clear English law that states ALL LIFE IS OF EQUAL VALUE." People First will support Mary’s fight to stay alive and continue the fight to stop laws which make it easier to kill disabled children. People First is an organisation run by people with learning difficulties. "We have successfully run campaigns to get disabled people with learning difficulty rights in civil rights and community care laws." Simone Aspis will be at the Court Of Appeal to hear the final ruling and to do any interviews or photo call on 22nd September.
