I thought that the death sentence in UK was abolished. Now they want to kill a conjoined twin does that mean it's been reinstated ?

It's very scary that the parents wishes are being ignored. The authorities are failing both the parents and the children.

Both children should be allowed to live as long as they can. If only all the money being wasted on eugenics was channelled into holistic care, these children could have a good life, however long.

Maybe the surgeons see the separation of the twins as a chance to hone their skills; disabled people are often made to endure quality of life/life threatening procedures because they are not given options and holistic advice. Some pioneering medicos would rather gain kudos than put the patient first.

Even if the twins were only to live for 6 months who's to say that (a) they would not be a purposeful and good 6 months, and (b) that some new solution to any problems that they might have would come up during their lifetime.

How can we help to support this family ?
