BROUGHT FORWARD AT CONFERENCE ON SEPTEMBER 17th SEPT EMERGENCY MOTION - JODIE AND MARY Siamese Twins The Green Party recognises that the Siamese twins, Jodie and Mary have both been born. They are two interdependent people and everything humanly and spiritually possible should be done to protect their lives. The Green Party calls upon Lord Justice Ward, Lord Justice Brooke, and Lord Justice Robert, in their judgement, not to force anyone to have to decide which twin should die nor to force the surviving twin to live with the knowledge that her sister was murdered. If however the judges rule to allow Jodie the gift of life, the Green Party would support any campaign on behalf of Mary in continuing her fight for her life and her dignity. This was supported by Green Party members. |
